Hartlepool

The seaside town of Hartlepool lies in County Durham, sandwiched between Middlesbrough and Sunderland. The town has a rich Naval heritage, with a large port and shipbuilding yards. You can also find the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool, with its star attraction being a sailing frigate, which was constructed at the end of the Napoleonic wars. The ship has been restored to it's former glory and now rests in the museum.
